Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727)

He was an English physicist and mathematician who found that white light is a mixture of colours (the rainbow) and also discovered the law of gravity (supposedly after watching an apple fall from tree). His most famous book was known as principia mathematica. He was knighted in 1705 and is buried in Westminster Abbey. He was born in 1642 AD and died in 1727 AD.
