The Taj Mahal is on the banks of Jumna River, near Agra in northern India. Shah Jahan, the Mughal emperor of India, built this tomb in 17th century. He built this tomb in the memory of his wife Mumtaz-i-Mahal. Shah Jahan himself died in 1658 and was buried alongside his wife in the tomb.
